Man United set for big FFP boost as 'perfect' Ivan Toney transfer decision made

Manchester United started the season off with a nervy victory over Fulham at Old Trafford and with the first three points in the bag, attention turns back to the transfer window.

The Reds do not have long left to make additions or sell players this summer with the window primed to slam shut on Friday, August 30. After the match on Friday night, Erik ten Hag insisted he was happy with his current squad and was not concerned if he did not add any more fresh faces.

According to Corriere dello Sport, McTominay has agreed personal terms with Napoli over a move to the Serie A club. It is believed the sticking point now lies as to whether the Italian giants can agree a fee with United for the midfielder.

When asked about McTominay prior to the 3-0 loss at Hellas Verona, the club's director Giovanni Manna insisted the Scot is a talented player but would not be drawn on interest because he is contracted to United.

What MEN Sport says: In United's eyes a deal for McTominay, if done at the right price, would be excellent in terms of Financial Fair Play (FFP).
