Man United make 'late ditch' attempt to secure Jadon Sancho exit as transfer move 'rejected'

The summer transfer window will close at 11pm this evening meaning Manchester United are running out of time to get their final dealings over the line.

Four players have already arrived at Old Trafford and Manuel Ugarte is close to becoming the fifth player through the door. However, apart from the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, United's incoming is rather quiet compared to the potential outgoings.

Scott McTominay is in Italy to seal his move to Napoli, while Jadon Sancho could still move on after being left out of United's first two games of the season. Juventus and Chelsea are seemingly the two favourites to land the winger, but according to reports, he has been offered to another team.

According to GiveMeSport, the 24-year-old was offered to Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga outfit are thought to be considering a 'last-minute rescue package' to re-sign Sancho after last season's short-term loan deal.

The report adds that United are attempting to push Sancho towards Dortmund in an attempt to get him off the books before the window closes.

Elsewhere, Serie A sides Lazio and Fiorentina have turned down the chance to sign Victor Lindelof in the latter stages of the transfer window. Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Lazio were 'never convinced' by the signing of the Sweden international, while Fiorentina opted against the deal due to the fee involved.

It's said that Fiorentina were only willing to sign the centre-back if his contract at Old Trafford was terminated.
