Man United have given green light to transfer that could define Ruben Amorim's time in charge

Manchester United will consider offers for any player this summer, but it would take a huge bid for them to part with the likes of Amad and Bruno Fernandes.

The same cannot be said of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho, with the club hoping to move all four players on this summer.

The performance levels alone of Rashford, Antony and Sancho make their likely sales understandable. Antony and Sancho have never threatened to reach the heights expected of them at Old Trafford, while Rashford has been far too inconsistent in recent years. But Garnacho's situation is slightly different.

While the 20-year-old is still raw and can be inconsistent, that's to be expected given his age. He is one of the few players in the United squad capable of producing something out of nothing, and so United's willingness to move him on this summer has seemingly come about purely because of his attitude problems.

It's a statement of intent from Amorim. Garnacho's outburst following the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham shouldn't be tolerated, and his show of support for the exiled Rashford on social media last week wasn't a good look.

There is absolutely no doubt about Garnacho's talent, and he's only going to get better as he develops. But, as Roy Keane said in his ridiculous criticism of Bruno Fernandes earlier this season, "talent is not enough".

Keane was wrong to criticise Fernandes but he was right to say that talent isn't enough to represent a club like Manchester United. Amorim needs a group of players with the right attitude and weeding out those who he doesn't believe have the attitude and professionalism needed to take United back to where they want to be is the first step on the road to recovery for
