Man United given huge concern as Paul Scholes agrees with Gary Lineker about Erik ten Hag

Paul Scholes and Gary Lineker have expressed their concerns over the lack of direction at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag following a dismal start to the season.

The Red Devils have already suffered some harsh results just six games in, including consecutive 3-0 home losses to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, leaving them in an unenviable 13th place in the Premier League.

Scholes – who recently surprised four fortunate Salford City fans with a helicopter ride to their team's away game at Newport County on Tuesday (October 1), courtesy of the club's front-of-shirt sponsor, Fireball – has been left disheartened by his former team's struggles under Ten Hag.

Despite maintaining his stance that he would never call for a manager's dismissal, the ex-England star questioned how much longer United supporters can tolerate the poor performances and lack of positive progress.

Ten Hag narrowly retained his position last season after leading the team to an FA Cup victory, rescuing a campaign that saw them finish outside the European spots in eighth place. Despite a £180million investment in new players this summer, there has been no noticeable improvement this season, causing Scholes to question his faith, reports the Mirror.
