Man United dream line up after two transfers completed and £51m breakthrough

Manchester United continue to make sweeping changes, on and off the pitch, in their ongoing attempt to revive the glory days at Old Trafford - with two new signings preparing to jet in.

After watching Ineos step on board and Erik ten Hag shake up his backroom staff, two further transfer deals were struck up on Saturday afternoon. Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt are ready to sign for United and join their previous two signings - Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee - this summer.

United were hit harder than anyone when it came to injuries last season. However, following a £150million spend, pending the rubber-stamp for Mazraoui and De Ligt, there will be a more welcome selection headache for United manager Ten Hag and his revamped backroom staff to contend with this season.

But how will they put together their preferred line up? Of course, cover and competition is no bad thing and with so many games there will be scope to shuffle the pack from time to time.

Andre Onana is first-choice between the posts, while Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes are, perhaps, un-droppable in their respective positions when fit. That also goes for Luke Shaw and Alejandro Garnacho.

Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund could argue a case for being in that bracket, too, but there are big decisions to make at right-back, centre-back and defensive midfield.
