Ugarte agreement, Sancho decision - Man United to do list before transfer window closes

Manchester United have just over a week until the summer transfer window closes. Erik ten Hag has signed four players in the window but there is plenty of work to do still.

Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro have all arrived to significantly bolster United's defence. Joshua Zirkzee signed from Bologna and started his career in England with the winner on the opening day of the Premier League season.

However, United remain in the market for a new midfielder before August 30 comes. So what still needs to be done? MEN Sport takes a detailed look at what sporting director Dan Ashworth needs to do on the incoming and outgoing front before the window closes.

United acted quickly in the window to bring Yoro and Zirkzee to Old Trafford before taking their time in getting the deals for De Ligt and Mazraoui. Unfortunately, time isn't on their side to land a midfielder.

Manuel Ugarte remains the top priority at the club despite their unwillingness to meet Paris Saint Germain's asking price of £51.1million to sign the Uruguay international. Much has been on the need to sell players before Ugarte can join but MEN Sport understands that United could negotiate a deal akin to Sofyan Amrabat's loan move.

Away from a new No.6, United aren't expected to make any more signings. Earlier in the window, talk of a new left-back was touted but various reports have since suggested that won't be the case anymore.
