Man City vs AC Milan as Ederson starts, Phillips benched and how to watch USA friendly

Manchester City continue their pre season preparations tonight when they take on AC Milan in New York.

Pep Guardiola’s side were beaten 4-3 in midweek by Celtic and City’s youthful touring squad has been bolstered by the arrivals of Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic who have now linked up with the Blues. Neither is likely to start but both will be involved against Milan.

Guardiola will once again be mixing senior stars with academy prospects in his XI with Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish the main attractions. The team news focus might fall upon whether Ederson is restored in goal and if Kalvin Phillips is afforded another start in midfield.

City also have games against Barcelona and Chelsea in the States before the season curtain raiser against Manchester United in the Community Shield. Guardiola's men then start their Premier League campaign against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
