Ajax lead transfer chase for Man City winger amid Premier League interest

Manchester City's summer fundraising drive could continue with Ajax leading the chase for another of City's brightest academy talents.

The Blues have already raised around £51m from academy sales this summer, topping the £50m mark for City Football Academy Graduates for the third season running. Micah Hamilton and Kane Taylor are the latest to have left, or agreed deals to leave, and they could now be followed by winger Joel Ndala.

The 18-year-old was part of Pep Guardiola's squad for the pre-season tour of the USA, and travelled with the first team for the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia last season. In pre-season he twice came off the bench in games against Celtic and Chelsea.

Now he could be set for a permanent exit with Ajax and Venezia interested in the England under-18 international. MEN Sport understands there is also interest from the Premier League and elsewhere in Serie A.

Ajax last season signed City winger Carlos Borges - who now goes by Carlos Forbs - for around £17m after an electric season for City's academy in 2022/23. Borges had a mixed season in Amsterdam as Ajax struggled, but is now a target for Wolves to replace Pedro Neto, who has joined Chelsea.

Sky has slashed the price of its Sky Sports, Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle in an unbeatable new deal that saves £216 and includes 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

With Ultra HD included at no extra cost, football fans can enjoy the 2024/25 season with crystal clear picture quality.
