Man City U23 vs Everton LIVE goal and score updates as Blues lift Premier League 2 trophy at Etihad
Manchester City's under-23s will lift the Premier League 2 trophy today at the Etihad after successfully defending their title this season.
City's youngsters sealed the title with a hard-fought 3-1 win at Leeds last week, giving Brian Barry-Murphy's squad a second successive league triumph - making City only the second side to do that since the league was formed. As a reward, City have moved this final fixture of the season to the Etihad Stadium with free tickets available for fans.
Cole Palmer made his return from injury last week to score and assist within 11 minutes at Elland Road, while Liam Delap continued his good form after his own injury troubles with a late goal of his own. With the under-18s also securing their divisional title this season, it's been another successful year for the academy - something that will be celebrated tonight.
Palmer and Delap could play again, as could regulars James McAtee, Kayky and Romeo Lavia. Captan CJ Egan-Riley was absent last week as he supported the first team as cover, and with Kyle Walker still injured that may be the case once again.
