We simulated Man City vs Newcastle to get a score prediction amid Liverpool title race

Manchester City turn their focus back to the Premier League title race after suffering Champions League heartbreak against Real Madrid in midweek.

City were dumped out of the Champions League after losing 6-5 on aggregate to Real Madrid in the semi-final. Guardiola's side can now only win the Premier League this season and head into the weekend a single point ahead of rivals Liverpool.

Kyle Walker is a doubt for the game against Newcastle at the weekend after coming off with an injury against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Guardiola revealed in his press conference ahead of the game against the Magpies that Kevin De Bruyne will be available for selection and that the Belgian's substitution against Madrid was purely tactical.

So, what line-ups will both teams select and what could the final score be? We used FIFA 22 to get a score prediction for Man City against Newcastle on Sunday and this is what happened. We used kick-off mode in FIFA 22, but didn't select a team to control, we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a score prediction.

We predict that Man City could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Gundogan; Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish.

We predict that Newcastle could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Dubravka; Krafth, Lascelles, Burn, Targett; Shelvey, Guimaraes, Willock; Almiron, Saint-Maximin, Joelinton.

City started well but found themselves a goal down against the run of play as Joe Willock put the visitors 1-0 up in the 5th minute. Willock found space in the City penalty box
