Man City vs Newcastle LIVE team news, predictions and goal updates in Premier League

Manchester City can open up a three point gap over Liverpool in the Premier League if they can return to winning ways against Newcastle today.

City suffered a heartbreaking Champions League exit against Real Madrid on Wednesday, but were given a Premier League boost on Saturday when Liverpool could only draw with Tottenham. Liverpool are ahead of City in the table by one goal on goal difference, having played a game more, so City can move three points clear and try to improve their goal difference this afternoon.

Pep Guardiola could be without Kyle Walker and John Stones, though, for this game. Walker limped off in Madrid and had an ice pack around his ankle, while Stones travelled but wasn't fit enough to make the squad. Kevin De Bruyne was substituted, but Guardiola confirmed there was no injury concern for the Belgian.

After a tiring 120 minutes in Spain, Guardiola could make changes to ensure his City team are fresh against a Newcastle side who could welcome back striker Callum Wilson from injury.

Job done for City Women. They ease past Reading by a score of 4-0, and secure Champions League football next season. Given the awful start they had, that's a remarkable achievement.

City are clear favourites with the bookmakers to get three points today.
