Man City are 180 minutes from an unprecedented double-treble in Premier League

Manchester City's focus may be primarily on sealing the Premier League title on Sunday, but there is another title to be won before then, which could set up a historic combination of trophies.

City's push for the Premier League title has been aided by an ever-improving academy set-up this season, with last year's Premier League 2 title giving the likes of Cole Palmer and James McAtee more first-team exposure this year. As more youngsters have been involved in senior training this year, the Elite Development Squad have continued their momentum and successfully retained their PL2 title last month.

Now, with the under-18s looking to defend their U18 PL National title away at Southampton, City know they are just two games away from a historic double-treble of the top three Premier League titles.

It's not an achievement that will be widely boasted about, nor one that will warrant any open-top buses, but it will show that City's academy is as strong as it has ever been.
