Man City told only two players can stop them winning the Premier League if Liverpool sell Mohamed Salah

Manchester City have been told only two players can stop them from winning the Premier League title if Liverpool sell Mohamed Salah this summer.

The Egyptian has become a legend at Anfield and has been a key factor in Liverpool's success over recent seasons.

However, the 29-year-old has yet to sign a new deal on Merseyside and is out of contract at the end of next season.

With that in mind, some are suggesting that the Reds may look to sell him in the summer to avoid him leaving on a free the following year.

According to Liverpool icon and former City striker Robbie Fowler, there are only two men on the planet who could replace Salah.

Fowler told the Mirror: "Like every Liverpool fan across the world, I just want the club to give new contracts to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

“Unlike most though, I don’t think the lack of movement in negotiations is some big conspiracy to get them out of the club, to be replaced by younger models in a year’s time or sooner.

“The obvious question has to be: what happens next in their contracts?

"If they don’t sign, then logically, they can be sold in the summer. Would Liverpool be able to rival City next season if that happens?

"Not unless they sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to replace them. And as [Romelu] Lukaku shows, even hundreds of millions is no guarantee."
