How Man City will react if Liverpool FC lose a game in Premier League title race
Manchester City would understand the significance of any Liverpool slip-up in the final 10 games of the Premier League season, according to Riyad Mahrez.
Liverpool's win over Brighton on Saturday moved them to within three points of City, with both sides having played the same amount of games. City play their weekend fixture at Crystal Palace on Monday, before Liverpool play their outstanding game in hand against Arsenal on Wednesday.
As much as Liverpool don't want to call it a title race, they will also be aware that victory in their game in hand and then at the Etihad in April would put both sides level on points, assuming they win their other fixtures.

So while Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp will reiterate that they are not focussed on what the other is doing, Mahrez has revealed that he and other City players are watching Liverpool's games and results closely.
Should they lose any game, Mahrez says City would be aware of the need to capitalise and take advantage in their own fixtures. He told CityTV: "We have confidence because we know our football and we run a lot.
"When you win and win and win you have confidence. We are very sure about our football and very confident. We try to make it in place every game, every week. Sometimes if the opponent is better than us we shake hands and try again. We always try to be better and win the game.
"If there's no Liverpool, Chelsea, United, Tottenham, Arsenal, we'll win the league all the time. When there are other teams behind us or in front of us winning games, it makes us more hungry to win our matches. That's the goal. That's what we want. To have a better taste.
"We concentrate on us
