Crystal Palace vs Man City highlights and reaction as Cancelo and De Bruyne hit the post

Manchester City dropped points in the title race as they were held to a goalless draw at Crystal Palace in a result that will be celebrated just as much by Liverpool.

City saw Liverpool beat Brighton on Saturday to cut the gap at the top of the table to three points with both teams level on points. Victory over Patrick Vieira's Palace on Monday night would have moved City back to six points ahead, but Liverpool can now cut the gap to a single point if they win their game in hand against Arsenal later in the week.

Pep Guardiola welcomed back Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker to the starting XI, while Nathan Ake and Zack Steffen and Cole Palmer returned to the bench after all four missed the Champions League draw with Sporting last week.

City had chances against Palace - with Bernardo Silva fluffing his lines after Kevin De Bruyne's shot was saved, before Aymeric Laporte blazed over with an open goal after Joao Cancelo hit the post.

Kyle Walker Worrying error in first half, but gave Zaha little encouragement until he moved inside - 6

John Stones Probably wouldn't have
