Man City's next six fixtures will make or break season says Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola is fully aware of the importance of Manchester City's fixtures in the next five weeks, despite warning of fatigue in his squad this week.

City are 17 games unbeaten ahead of their FA Cup clash at Luton on Tuesday, which will give the Blues a chance to book another quarter-final in the competition. After that follows the derby with Manchester United this weekend, the Champions League last-16 second-leg clash with FC Copenhagen, and a title-defining trip to Liverpool.

A FA Cup quarter-final would follow if City reach the last eight, or a tricky trip to Brighton in the Premier League if they don't. A home visit of Arsenal is next in March, before another tough assignment against Aston Villa. And Guardiola knows that while his side cannot win any of their treble competitions in that period, they can put themselves out of contention for retaining their three titles in the coming weeks.

"Next month helps us to still have another month. It will define if we have another month to play for the titles. It doesn't define anything," Guardiola said.

"We can lose the titles yeah. But what happens if we win and win? Our mindset is not thinking about the worst scenarios. It's thinking that at the same time you can control your mind to think it's going to be bad, [you can also control that] it's going to be well.
