De Bruyne, Grealish, Ederson - Man City injury news and return dates vs Newcastle

Manchester City continue their bid for a historic double treble when they host Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's team are looking to become the first side to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in consecutive seasons after matching the feat achieved by rivals Manchester United in 1999 last season. However, City currently have a few injury concerns to deal with.

Key midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will be absent from Saturday's fixture as well as first-choice goalkeeper Ederson. De Bruyne was not named in the latest Belgium squad because of injury. Belgium's manager Domenico Tedesco decided it was better for the 32-year-old to be left out of this month's friendlies to ensure he can play at Euro 2024 in the summer.

Injury: Groin

Potential return date: Arsenal (H) - March 31.

What Guardiola said: "He played at Anfield with some problems but he's getting better. All the players today in world football have problems but he wanted to finish the game. The day after he didn't feel good and it's better to take a step back."

The goalkeeper came off against Liverpool after clattering Darwin Nunez just three minutes after the restart. He continued for six minutes before receiving treatment and being replaced.

Injury: Leg.

Potential return date: Arsenal (H)
