Man City 'chase' Kevin de Bruyne replacement, Arsenal interest and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly looking at RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo.

Pep Guardiola is keen to add another midfielder to his ranks this summer. Ilkay Gundogan left the club whilst Kevin de Bruyne is expected to be out for three to four months due to injury.

Mateo Kovacic has come in but City have pressed forward with plans to add another midfielder. They have seen a bid rejected for Lucas Paqueta by West Ham United and it remains to be seen if they will renew that interest.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, City are 'watching' Olmo 'closely'. The Spaniard caught the eye in their recent match against Bayern Munich, netting a hat-trick in the German Supercup.

Olmo has been linked several times with a move to the Premier League but nothing has ever materialised. Spurs were credited with an interest earlier in the summer.

Elsewhere, Spanish outlet SPORT report Arsenal are back in the race to sign Joao Cancelo, who is also being pursued by Barcelona. The full-back spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and has an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium.

It is claimed that the Gunners have confirmed their intentions to the player, asking him to wait for them to make some sales, potentially including left-back Kieran Tierney. The Catalan giants are said to still be confident that they can win the race for the versatile fullback, having already agreed personal terms with the 29-year-old.

Arsenal's need for defensive reinforcements have increased after Jurrien Timber suffered a serious knee injury on his debut against Nottingham Forest. He's now expected to face at least six months on the sidelines.

The transfer window is in full swing
