Man City press conference LIVE Juanma Lillo standing in for Pep Guardiola plus Sheffield United team news

Manchester City travel to South Yorkshire to take on Sheffield United on Sunday, but manager Pep Guardiola will miss the trip as he recovers from back surgery.

Guardiola underwent emergency surgery this week and will spend the next two weeks or so recovering in Barcelona, so he will miss the Sheffield United game as well as next week's fixture at home to Fulham. Lillo could offer a team news update with Bernardo Silva expected to be back after illness, but John Stones is out until after the international break and Kevin De Bruyne is out until the new year. Jeremy Doku signed on Thursday and could be in line to make his debut at Bramall Lane.

City are chasing a midfielder in the transfer market before next week's deadline, with Matheus Nunes and Eberechi Eze both options. Lillo may be asked for an update in that department as well.
