Man charged with 'throwing missile onto pitch' at Manchester derby
A man has been charged with 'throwing a missile onto the pitch' at the Manchester derby game on Sunday (March 3).
There was a heightened police presence at the match, between Manchester City and Manchester United, at the Etihad stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Police said a man was arrested and later charged with throwing a missile onto the football playing area and being in possession of a firework or flare at the event.

Adam McNally, 30, of Bullcote Green, Royton, has been charged with possession of a firework/flare at a sporting event and throwing a missile onto a football playing area. He has been bailed with conditions.
