Man attacked two female Metrolink workers at Old Trafford tram stop after Manchester United match
A man punched a Metrolink worker when they tried to move him on from a tram stop following a Manchester United match.
Daniel Neale attacked the two women at Old Trafford station after United's home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on May 13. The workers had confronted Neale after they found him drinking inside a turnstile at the busy station.
The 39-year-old, who was said to be 'extremely intoxicated' at the time, turned 'aggressive' and punched the two women as well as another man who was at the station. At Tameside Magistrates Court today (Monday), Neale was jailed for 28 weeks after he admitted three counts of assault by beating and being drunk and disorderly.

Gareth Hughes, prosecuting, told the court that two TravelSafe officers found Neale drinking in a turnstile at the station after the Premier League fixture, which United won 2-0.
The court heard that the station was busy at the time and Neale was deemed to be 'putting himself and others in danger' by sitting in the turnstile.
But when he was asked to move, Neale became 'abusive' and 'aggressive' and punched both workers in the chest, Mr Hughes said.. He then punched a third person to the chest and face before police arrived at the tram stop and arrested him.
Neale, of no fixed abode, had previously admitted separate charges of burglary, criminal damage, arson and failure to surrender to bail.
Mr Hughes said the arson offence related to an occasion when Neale caused £800 worth of damage to a tram stop in Birmingham after setting fire to some paper and placing it inside a lift.
Abdul-Aziz Rashid, mitigating, said Neale suffered from post-traumatic stress
