Bruno Fernandes sends Lisandro Martinez message after Manchester United player makes Old Trafford return
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has admitted it's 'nice' to have centre-back Lisandro Martinez back on the pitch following his Old Trafford return after injury.
Martinez's last appearance at the Theatre of Dreams came back in April when he suffered a fractured metatarsal during the draw with Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-finals. Since then, the popular Argentinian has watched on from afar as Erik ten Hag's men secured their place in this season's Champions League but fell just short of their second piece of silverware of the campaign in the FA Cup final.
However, the 25-year-old has since recovered and was in a position to start at Old Trafford on Saturday as United faced Ligue 1 opponents Lens. Goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro secured a 3-1 comeback victory for the Reds in their penultimate outing before the season begins again in earnest.

Following the win, Martinez reflected on what it meant to be back in front of the home fans on Saturday. He wrote on Instagram: "I've waited a long time for this feeling of playing in front of you again, I've missed Old Trafford.
"Solid performance from the team, I now can't wait for the Premier League season to start." And teammate Fernandes responded: "Nice to have you back butcher."
United will be the last team to start their campaign in the top flight as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, August 14.
