Major emergency services response after serious incident - live updates

A residential road has been cordoned off by police, with forensic officers working at the scene. Witnesses believe a serious incident happened overnight near Riverside Drive in Blaenavon, Torfaen.

Locals saw emergency services arrive at the address in the early hours of Friday morning. The Wales Air Ambulance has confirmed one of its crews was sent to an incident in Blaenavon shortly after 2am.

A cordon remains in place at Riverside Drive this morning. There are unconfirmed reports that armed officers were called to the scene.
