M62 LIVE updates: 'Severe delays' with long queues on motorway after crash

Long queues are forming on a stretch of the M62 motorway towards Manchester this morning after a crash.

Three lanes are currently shut on the eastbound side of the motorway, according to traffic alert service Inrix. They are shut between junction 10 for the Croft Interchange and junction 11 for Birchwood.

Lanes one, two and three - of four - are closed. Motorway cameras show long queues up to the closure.

Congestion is currently back to junction eight for Warrington West.
