M61 LIVE updates: Heavy traffic and queues building after crash

Queues are building on a stretch of the M61 this morning after a crash.

One lane has been shut off on the southbound side of the motorway. It is shut between junction four for Farnworth and junction three for Kearsley Spur, according to traffic alert service Inrix.

Traffic is queuing up to the incident. According to National Highways, normal traffic conditions are expected by around 10am.
