M60 traffic stopped due to crash near M61 in early hours - RECAP
Traffic on the M60 was stopped due a collision near the M61 junction in the early hours of Thursday morning.
In a tweet shortly after 12.40am, National Highways said: "Traffic is currently stopped on the M60 clockwise between J13 and J15 near Manchester due to a collision. @NWmwaypolice [North West Motorway Police] are in attendance, more information to follow shortly. Thank you for your patience."
At 12.52am, roads and traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: "M60 clockwise closed, queueing traffic due to accident from J13 A575 Walkden Road ( Worsley ) to J15 M61 J1 (Swinton Interchange). The road has been closed since around 00:30 Thursday morning."
Live cameras showed that traffic was queuing near the scene. All lanes reopened shortly before 2am.

Three lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M60 clockwise from J13 A575 Walkden Road ( Worsley ) to J15 M61 J1 (Swinton Interchange). Lanes one, two and three (of four) remain closed. The road had been closed for around an hour early Thursday morning.
