M6 LIVE traffic updates as motorway blocked with huge delays - latest

There are major delays on the M6 this afternoon following an accident.

The motorway is blocked on the southbound carriageway within junction 21, by the Thelwall Viaduct, following a crash.

National Highways have said: "#M6 in #Cheshire is currently blocked southbound within J21 due to a collision.

"@cheshirepolice are in attendance. Once vehicles have been recovered and cleared traffic will be released.

" Thanks for your patience."

Travel service Inrix says: "M6 Thelwall Viaduct Southbound blocked, long delays due to accident at J21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston)."
