Luis Palma to Rangers transfer handed direct Aris address as chase heats up for firing Honduran

Greek club Aris have directly addressed Rangers' interest in Luis Palma - but say there is "very strong" competition for the winger from all over the world.

Michael Beale is gearing up for a full-scale revamp this summer and will need to replenish his attacking options with Alfredo Morelos' exit confirmed and Ryan Kent seemingly set to follow. Wide-man Palma has been strongly linked with recent reports suggesting talks are ongoing between Rangers and Aris over a deal expected to be in the region of £4.4million.

Aris' sporting director Robert Palikuca says they are open to selling if their demands are met. But he says it's "not only" the Ibrox side who are interested in the exciting 23-year-old - with teams from America and elsewhere in Europe keen on the Honduran. He told Deportes TVC: "We will consider our options, if an offer comes in that is up to our standards, then a sale will be made.

"He's a player with a lot of room for development, he's not finished football-wise. Is it only Rangers who are interested? There is also interest from American teams, very strong financially, as well as European teams."

Palma got tongues wagging when he dropped a major hint on social media billing Aris' clash with Panathinaikos his "last dance," in Greece. He didn't add to his impressive goal tally in that one but finished the season with 13 goals and eight assists in 36 appearances and now looks set for a move away.
