Liverpool's final three Premier League fixtures compared to Man City

Liverpool are still battling for the Premier League title - but have been dealt a blow with the latest round of results.

The Reds were forced to settle for just a point after being held to a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur. Son Heung-Min put the visitors ahead at Anfield, before Luis Diaz equalised to earn a draw for Liverpool.

A day later, Manchester City were well on the way to extending their lead at the top of the table to three points, with a 3-0 lead over Newcastle United at the time of writing. Liverpool will be left with just three matches to try and overtake their title-race opponents.

Here, we take a look at Liverpool’s remaining league fixtures and how they compare to Man City.

Liverpool’s rearranged clash against Villa comes on a midweek night as the season begins to draw to a close. It will also see the Reds reunited with club legend Steven Gerrard who will be in the opposing dugout.

A new date for this match has been confirmed following Liverpool’s progression to the FA Cup final against Chelsea. This will be the Reds’ final midweek fixture of the season.

Liverpool’s final match of the league season sees them welcome Wolves to Anfield at the end of May. Before then, there is the small matter of the FA Cup final, but the Reds could go into this fixture with the potential to lift the league title.

Wolves (A) - May 11

West Ham United (A) - May 15

Aston Villa (H) - May 22
