Live updates: Roads flooded and alerts issued following torrential rain

Large parts of Wales have experienced torrential rain over this weekend. The Met Office warned that heavy rain was set to cause flooding likely to affect homes and businesses in Wales on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

On Saturday, February 17, the forecaster updated its yellow weather warning for rain and said travel could be disrupted, with interruption to power supplies "likely". The warning was in place from 3pm on Saturday until 9am on Sunday and covered large parts of Wales, including Ceredigion, down to Pembrokeshire and across to Monmouthshire. The Met Office forecasts that today will be a dry day with bright spells and a few showers for most of Wales, but the torrential rain has already led to some flooding in parts. Roads such as the A470 in south Wales and between England and Wales have been partially blocked due to flooding. In the meantime, Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has issued several weather alerts.
