Live updates as 'serious' collision causes slow traffic on A4019 in Seven Sisters
Police are at the scene of a "serious" collision in Neath Port Talbot. South Wales Police said on Monday morning, September 2, that a crash has happened on the A4109 between the doctors' surgery to Crynant village in the Seven Sisters area.
Traffic monitoring service, Inrix, confirmed there was a closure on the A4109 in both direction with slow traffic in the area. The police force said that the road was expected to remain closed for some time. The force added: "Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible."
At around midday on Monday however, Inrix confirmed that the road had been reopened and traffic had returned to normal in the area. Their update read: "A4109 in both directions re-opened, traffic returned to normal, accident cleared from Nant-Y-Cafn Business Park (Seven Sisters) to Ynys-Y-Bont (Crynant)".
