Live updates as 'serious' crash near Cardiff city centre shuts road

A female pedestrian has been injured after being hit by a car in the Grangetown area of Cardiff. There is a large police presence near the city centre as emergency services deal with the crash.

There is a large police presence on Penarth Road and part of the road has been closed off as investigations are carried out at the scene. One man has been arrested.

A police spokesperson said that the woman's injuries are described as "non-life threatening". Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
