Live updates as person rushed to hospital and road closed after serious crash
A person has been taken to hospital and a road is closed following a serious crash. South Wales Police confirmed they were at the scene of a crash in Ynysgerwyn Avenue in Aberdulais, Neath, opposite Groundhog.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they had also attended the incident on Saturday. A spokesman said: "We received a call at 11.53am. We sent the air ambulance and a land vehicle. A person was conveyed from the scene to Morriston Hospital. We have now left the scene."
There is still a police presence and the road is currently closed southbound while investigations take place. Cars are being diverted onto the A465 and according to South Wales Police the road southbound "is expected to remain closed for some time".
