Long delays on the M4 as people return home from Easter holidays - live updates

There are delays on parts of the M4 on Friday afternoon as people head home from the Easter break. Traffic monitors are showing congestion at Cardiff, Newport and Port Talbot.

No accidents have been reported to so traffic monitoring system is attributing the delays to "holiday traffic".

They are reporting delays of 30 minutes between junction 30 Cardiff Gate and junction 26 Malpas Road at Newport. There is also "slow traffic" eastbound from junction 42 Swansea East/Briton Ferry to junction 41 Baglan.

It is also "slow" eastbound at Swansea between junction 45 Ynysforgan and junction 43 Llandarcy. and there are delays on the A48 at Cross Hands in Carmarthenshire.
