LIVE updates as M60 lane closed and queueing traffic as Oasis fans head to Heaton Park

Heavy traffic is building around Greater Manchester as fans head to Heaton Park for the Oasis boys' homecoming gig.

The iconic Manchester band, led by Liam and Noel Gallagher, will be playing the first of their shows at Heaton Park tonight (July 11) with close to 80,000 fans expected to be in attendance - with many from the city itself and others who have travelled from all around the world for the special gig.

The Manchester shows, which will continue until July 20, come following the first two nights of the Live '25 tour in Cardiff last week.

Traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reports queuing traffic at various sections across the M60, tying in with the usual rush hour traffic.

It also reports that one lane is closed due to an accident between Junction 13 Worsley Brow and Junction 12 Eccles Interchange.

A dispersal order is also in place for Heaton Park and surrounding areas until 2am tomorrow,

There is slow traffic on the M62 between Junction 20 Rochdale and Junction 19 Middleton..

Inrix reports: "One lane closed and slow traffic due to broken down vehicle on M62 Westbound from J20 A627(M) J3 Rochdale to J19 A6046 Middleton Road (Heywood)."

There are reports of another accident on the M60 anticlockwise at Junction 27 Great Portwood Street. Two lanes remain closed with long days expected.

"Congestion to Just before J24 (Denton Island) for clockwise traffic, with anticlockwise back to J5 (Princes Parkway).
