Live updates as all train lines closed between Cardiff and Swansea due to points failure at Bridgend

All lines between Cardiff and Swansea are currently closed because of a points failure in Bridgend and disruption is set to last until 4pm this afternoon according to Great Western Railway.

The routes affected included Great Western Railway trains between London Paddington and Swansea/Carmarthen, and Transport for Wales services between Manchester Piccadilly and Pembroke Dock, Fishguard Harbour and Milford Haven, between Ebbw Vale Town and Maesteg, and also between Cardiff Central and Maesteg, Swansea, Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven

National Rail is urging customers to check their journey before they travel.

Transport for Wales has said it is currently sourcing replacement road transport between Cardiff Central, Maesteg and Swansea.
