Mike Peters funeral: Moving tributes are paid to The Alarm frontman as thousands gather

Today, thousands are set to gather in Dyserth for the funeral of Mike Peters, the much-adored frontman of The Alarm.

Family, friends, and those from the music and entertainment industry, as well as fans, will come together to bid a fond farewell and pay tribute to Mike.

The legendary musician and health campaigner from Prestatyn passed away on April 29 after a courageous 30-year battle with cancer. Tributes have been flooding in to remember Mike ever since, recognition of his profound impact on all who knew him. Stay informed on the latest health news by signing up to our newsletter here

The service is to be held at the Parish Church of St Bridget and St Cwyfan in Waterfall Road, Dyserth, featuring 24 speakers and musicians. They will offer heartfelt reflections, readings, and performances to honour Mike's extraordinary journey - from rock star to cancer warrior and founder of the Love Hope Strength Foundation.

A large screen will be outside the church for those gathered there, allowing them to be part of the celebration. Approximately 150 invited guests, many of whom have travelled from the United States, will attend the service alongside Mike's widow Jules, 58, and their sons Dylan, 21, and Evan, 18.

We'll provide you with all the latest photos and updates from today's celebration as we receive them, via the live coverage below.
