LIVE: Busy Greater Manchester road CLOSED after 'serious crash' - latest updates
A major Greater Manchester road has been closed in both directions following a 'serious crash'.
Emergency services are in attendance on the A673 Chorley New Road in Horwich, near Bolton, this morning (June 10).
The road is currently shut between Hawkshaw Street and Ainsworth Avenue, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.
Multiple witnesses have reported seeing a vehicle hit a building on Chorley New Road.
Google Maps data shows the collision has taken place near to Horwich RMI.
Traffic is congested on either side of the cordon and along surrounding roads.

A post from Inrix said: "A673 Chorley New Road in both directions closed, very slow traffic due to serious accident from Hawkshaw Street to Ainsworth Avenue."
Police and paramedics have been seen in attendance following the collision.
