Live updates as A40 is shut completely by crash near Llandeilo

The A40 is shut in both directions with queuing traffic due to a crash between the Castle Dryslwyn turn off (Felindre) and Carmarthen Road (Llandeilo).

Dyfed Powys-Police is working at the scene alongside other emergency services, and is urging drivers to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for the force said: "A40 - Cross Roads at Dryslwyn - Pont Myddyfi Cross Roads towards Llandeilo.

"This road is currently closed due to a collision

"Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey. Thank you."
