Live updates as A40 in Carmarthen shut due to crash
A main road in Carmarthen is shut following a crash. The eastbound side of the A40 on the outskirts of the town centre is closed. Police have asked motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "A40 Eastbound - Carmarthen Showground to B&Q Roundabout. The road is currently closed due to a collision Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey. Thank you." According to traffic monitoring service Inrix: "A40 Eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident between Llansteffan Road (Johnstown) and A4242 (Pontlesneven Roundabout, Carmarthen)."
