Major road closed for 10 hours after serious crash - live updates

Police have closed a main road in Swansea after a serious crash on Thursday evening. Officers first announced the A484 was closed by Tesco Fforestfach at around 9pm on Thursday.

It remains closed more than 10 hours later as emergency services work at the scene.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We're at the scene of a serious collision near to Tesco Fforestfach on A484.

"The road is currently closed in both directions between Tesco Fforestfach roundabout to Garnoch roundabout.

"It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience."
