LIVE: Two in hospital after stabbing as teenager among those arrested - latest updates

Police have been called to a reported stabbing incident in Irlam. The incident, reported on Hawk Road, saw armed officers and paramedics called out at around 2.30pm, as people were collecting their children from two schools nearby.

Witnesses reported seeing a huge emergency services presence with 'police everywhere' earlier today. The M.E.N understands officers were called to reports of a stabbing.

Emergency services vehicles were also seen along Cutnook Lane, outside the Moss Valley Academy and St Joseph The Worker primary school. A nearby alley was also taped off.

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for further information on the incident.

Officers can be seen inspecting a car with windows smashed at the scene.

It is thought the vehicle is connected to the earlier stabbing.
