LIVE: Police on scene of shooting as attempted murder probe launched - latest updates
An attempted murder probe is underway after a reported shooting in Manchester.
Police were scrambled to the scene on Hampden Crescent in the Gorton area at around 5.45pm yesterday (Monday, October 7) to reports of a shooting. A 19-year-old male was rushed to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
Two other males - aged 15 and 21 - have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both were taken into custody for questioning.

An investigation is now underway, with forensics pictured probing the street for evidence last night. Patrols have been stepped up in the area.
Greater Manchester Police said the incident was believed to be 'targeted attack' with 'no wider risk to the public'. Anyone with information, or any witnesses, should contact the force.
