LIVE: Six-mile queues as all traffic stopped on stretch of M65 - latest updates
Huge queues are forming on a stretch of the M65 motorway close to the M61 junction after a crash.
According to National Highways, traffic has been stopped on the westbound carriageway. The incident is between junction three for Riley Green and junction two for the M61 exit.
Traffic is currently queuing for around six miles. There are delays of at least 45 minutes.

In a post on X, National Highways said: "Traffic is stopped on the #M65 westbound between J3 #RileyGreen and J2 #M61 due to a collision. Traffic Officers are on scene. There are 6 miles congestion on approach causing 45 min delays above normal journey time."
