LIVE: Road taped off in south Manchester amid reports of 'police incident'

A major road in south Manchester has been taped off amid reports of a 'police incident'.

Footage posted on social media shows a large police presence in Moseley Road, Fallowfield, this evening.

A cordon is reportedly in place near to the junction with Kingsway. Eyewitnesses have also reported seeing an ambulance at the scene.

Buses have been diverted as a result of the road closure. The nature of the incident is not yet known.

Greater Manchester Police has been approached for further information.
