LIVE: Road taped off as police rush to scene - latest updates
Police have sealed off a residential street in Heywood this afternoon.
Images taken from the scene by the Manchester Evening News show a police van parked within a large cordon.
The incident is understood to be on George Street, further up towards Peel Lane from its junction with Bank Top Street.

An area bordering a row of residential houses on the corner where George Street meets Peel Lane has been completely sealed off.
Residents living in the area have reported police officers stationed at the scene, which is near the The Grapes Inn pub.
The nature of the incident is not yet known.
