Emergency services have descended on a Stockport street after a fire broke out.
Crews are in attendance on Redesmere Drive, in Cheadle Hulme, this afternoon (February 19).
At least four fire engines have been in attendance at the scene. Firefighters were first called out at around 11.15am.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service says the roof and garage of a property have been damaged by the fire.
Fire engines from Cheadle, Stockport, Stretford and Wythenshawe have all been in attendance, while specialist equipment is being used at the scene.
The fire service says a number of neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precaution.
Thick plumes of smoke could be seen billowing from the property across Cheadle while firefighters worked to tackle the blaze.
Crews remain on the scene, with damping down taking place. It's understood fire investigation teams will be attending the incident.
