How to vote in BBC EastEnders live episode love twist as Denise Fox chooses Jack Branning or Ravi Gulati

In a historic first for EastEnders, fans of the BBC soap will have the power to change the futures of three of its main characters in the programme's first live episode in 10 years.

Celebrating it's 40th anniversary this week, EastEnders crew and actors have pulled out all the stops to make this a weekend that no soap fan will ever forget.

Despite this week featuring a wedding, the reveal of Cindy's attacker and the majority of Albert Square's residents trapped in the Queen Vic following an explosion, it's a historic first in soapland that has arguably gained the most traction.

Viewers will have the ability to vote whether Denise Fox should reunite with estranged husband Jack Branning or have a fresh start with secret lover Ravi Gulati.

On a day which officially marks 40 years since EastEnders first aired across the UK, the voting process will begin immediately after Wednesday's (February 19) hour-long special.

Those who have registered to vote before or on Wednesday at BBC.co.uk/account, have the power to vote at BBC.co.uk/EastEnders until 7:10pm on Thursday (February 20)

With the vote closing just 20 minutes before the live episode begins, the results will be handed to the EastEnders Executive Producer, Chris Clenshaw after being independently verified.

Due to how late the vote closes, the show's cast and crew will have to quickly forget about the losing script and make sure the reveal goes off without a hitch on live TV.
