LIVE: Police tape off Manchester street as officers respond to incident - latest updates

Police have taped off a street in Manchester as officers respond to an incident.

The scene is at Stamford Road in Longsight where officers are in place this morning (May 7).

Images from the scene show a number of properties inside a cordon, with multiple Greater Manchester Police vehicles in attendance.

A section of Stamford Road has been taped off by officers.

At least two GMP cars are in attendance at the cordon while officers are manning the scene on foot.

Further details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.
