LIVE: Police tape off street as man 'brandishes suspected firearm in officer's face' near Greater Manchester park - latest updates

Officers have sealed off a street next to a Salford park following an incident.

Police are in attendance on Great Clowes Street, next to Albert Park, in Broughton this afternoon (May 20).

An area has been taped off and police are manning a cordon.

A bike has been seen left on the ground within the cordon.

Details on the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.

A masked youth on a push bike 'pulled a black handgun from his sock' after a police officer had drawn and attempted to fire his Taser stun gun, an eye witness has told our reporter John at the scene.

The witness said the police Taser failed and the youth abandoned his bike and fled. It erupted in front of horrifed motorists.
